The Austin Academy’s GED curriculum and classes will prepare participants for all 5 subjects included in the GED Test: Literature, Social Studies, Science, Math, and Writing. Classes are open-entry and open-exit, this allows our participants to learn at their own pace. GED practice test are give periodically in order to ensure that our participants are ready for the actual test.
Math Improvement
Designed to help students develop and maintain math skills necessary for the today’s workplace. Topics include decimals, fractions, percents, and introductory algebra.
Reading Improvement
Students will receive instruction and practice focusing on essential reading techniques and vocabulary improvement. Topics include main ideas, inference, sequencing, cause and effect, and more.
Writing Improvement
Students will receive instruction and practice in both writing mechanics and style. Topics include grammar, usage, style, and organization.
